2000 i30t harsh suspension

My 2000 Infiniti i30t has a harsher ride than I would expect out of a car like this. I expected a sporty ride, being based on the Maxima, but this is rough! On smooth roads, it's fairly comfortable. Over rough, uneven roads, I feel every imperfection. Is this just the way the car rides, or is it time to change out the shocks and struts? Mine has just shy of 100k now.
