2000 I30, 104,000 miles, live in Phoenix area. The leaking started about 2 weeks ago on the left (drivers) side and a couple of days ago the right side started leaking. Weird.

Is this a common/uncommon problem?

Dealer wants $1100+ for replace. Apparently the I30 has to be replaced as the bushings are not available for repair.

If you are talking about the rear trailing arm bushing; you're in luck. It just so happens that Mossy Performance has those bushings made by Energy Suspension for $65.00 a set(which is a great price).

I've tried seaching a couple of different Infiniti/Nissan parts catalogs trying to locate a picture for verification, but I can't find one. Maybe someone who has a 5th gen FSM handy can e-mail you the section on Rear Suspension (coded RA in the FSM).

Perhaps the best advise I can give you is to contact Mossy Performance and verify the location of the bushings.

Thank you for your quick response.

My dealer said the bushings are not replaceable by themselves, only as a complete axel assembly for the I30.

Are the bushings replaceable by someone familiar with tools? I have worked on a lot of Hondas but have done nothing on the I30.

Do they have to be pressed in our out?

Sounds like a very good price for the bushings!!!

Thanks in advance for any info.

If it's similar to the front control arm bushings, they can be burned out with a propane torch, but you don't want to press them out.
