2000 I30 - Radio Replacement

Radio from a 2002 Maxima being advertised as fitting 2000 I30 - it is the BOSE In-Dash 6-CD Changer. Visually looks like it would fit - picture posted.

Anyone have any idea of how difficult to replace the radio - or would I be best to take it to an audio place and get them to install?

Was considering this instead of the mount installed changer.

Any opinions/experience appreciated!

Unless it was from an I35 I don't think it will fit.

I have reasoning to believe this:

The I35's dash is wider than the Maximas. Additionally, I know, from personal experience, that an aftermarket dash kit made for a Maxima doesn't quite work in the I35. The reason? The I30 AND I35 (A33 chassis) dashes are wider than their maxima brethren. So while it will probably bolt in and mount up, it probably won't be wide enough and will most likely look like ***.

I believe the Bose 6-CD unit I purchased off ebay for my maxima came from an I35. Pretty sure it did....

Matt, that's just weird. Not saying I don't believe you, but maybe the seller was confused? I can't understand why the OEM radios would interchange but the aftermarket dash kits won't. Should be the same space-filler.

I believe it was advertised as a I35 radio. Who knows, maybe it was for a GXE or something since it did have the digital climate controls with it.
