2000 I30 Front End Noise - FIXED!

A while ago when I was having a bunch of problems with my "new to me" I30 I also mentioned some front end noise that only occurred when going over shallow bumps that caused a lot of vibration.

The dealer took care of the I30's engine issues - but I was left with the front end noise that didn't seem to cause any issues but was very annoying.

There is a TSB concerning strut noise in 2000 I30's - and it seems that the TSB was correct.

I had the two front struts replaced, the strut mounts cleaned and lubricated, and the front sway bar links replaced. The noise is totally gone and everything is now perfect.

Whenever one thinks of buying a new used car, always get TSB [usually 3-4 dozen] for that exact model............that way you are not surprised and can help with the rehabilitation.

Every car brand has their fixes often discovered after 3 years.
