2000 i30 AC problem

hi guys,

just sold my 2002 i35 and bought a 2000 i30 to save some money, the car is in great condition except the ac. it doesn't matter if i adjust the temperature, only gives the coldest from 66F to 84F and gives warm air only at 85F, what could be the problem?

So it's blowing either hot or cold and no control in between. You have to perform the built in diagnosis to isolate the problem. Attached is the FSM for 99 I30 (I can't open the HA chapter for the 00 I30). Start with page HA-23 for the trouble diagnosis and then refer to page HA-28 for the Symptoms Chart.
