Have replaced the thermostat ( was stuck open) and a oxygen sensor according to the codes I pulled. Was having idle problems before the last 2 fixes thought that the sensor would fix idle problem but it hasn't. Not showing any more codes. Thought about the idle air control motor but is't not putting out the code for it. Can it be faulty with out the code showing up for it? Don't want to spend the 200.00 plus for a new idle control till i've tried some suggestions from the forum. Any ideas ? thanks

Have you checked/replaced the fuel filter and air filter? Cleaning the throttle body and MAF sensor and adding BG44K on a full tank of gas will also help. Apply dielectric grease on your MAF sensor connector.

Well after taking the car back to my daughter this weekend. I finially got a new code that tells me the Idle air control valve is malfunctioning. Guess it's time to pay the 200.00 for the valve.
