2000 frontier crew cab, carrier bearing

I have replaced the carrier bearing 2 or 3 times. Can I put in a 2001+ drive shaft from a king cab? would I be better off having one made and balanced?

Yes, you can use a 2001+ one piece.

Thanks. I had a custom balance drive shaft made today. Less than the price of the carrier bearing. incredible power difference.

The carrier bearing on my 2000 Frontier is making noise.I've just found this board and haven't read many of the posts yet, but where would I find a 2001+ driveshaft.What kind of a shop do I need to find to do the "conversion".Power Difference ? -Thanks for your help -

Ok, I know that this is an old thread but I am having the same carrier bearing problem that is described here. I have been looking on line but the drive shafts for 2001's look like the ones for the 2000's. I have a 2000. Am I missing something? Its not that I can't find any its just that they look like the same shaft. Hopefully someone will have pity on my ignorance and give a little help.
