I was considering doing a engine swap, and putting a 2000 vq30de in my 96 i30. I would be purchasing the long block only. Will all my accesories work and what else If anything would have to be converted? thanx in advanced for any insight.

You'd mainly just have to swap out the intake manifold, and all the sensors (OBD I .vs OBD II). Other than that, I believe you're good to go.

The reason I was considering the swap is because $600 is pretty cheap for 32 extra horsepower. Would the 2000 engine have the same power using ob1 intake?

No.

You can look in the how-to sticky and find directions on how to use the VQ30DEK manifold on a 4th gen.

It might be a cheaper and easier alternative for you to use the DE-K manifold on your VQ30DE instead
