At 95,000 my suspension feels a little worn. Symptoms are general lack of tightness and I think too much noise over larger sharp bumps, pavement joints etc.

I have the anniversary model and so I realize the struts would be expensive. I guess I would like to understand what others have had to pay for a set of these. Also in terms of other parts that could or should be replaced what would people recommend. I am thinking stabilizer bushings, tension road bushings.

Would anyone care to describe how good and how quiet the ride should be on one of these vehicles?

Call them. You will need front strut bearings and 4 gaiters and bump stops.

also don't forget about the tension bars, that is probably a big part of your problem. you need either new rubber (if you want to pay for the labor) or the entire bar with the rubber already mounted in there.
