Welcome to NiCO!

You're looking for the G20/Sentra forum. Your 200SX is a B14 Nissan Sentra.

Unless you're in Europe? Are you in Europe?

Please post a picture of your car so we can figure out what car you have.

Welcome to NICO bro.

We really will need pictures of your car to determine which 200sx you have. If it's the B14, then we have the same car and the forum you'd be looking for is the Sentra forum. If it's not, you'd want to head over to the 240sx section. Please let us know and enjoy your stay here in the land of NICO!

PS - if you DO have a B14, I'm here to help you with anything you need. I know quite a bit about this car and I can definitely help you with any problems you may have :)

Yup, that would be a B14 Sentra. You want the G20/Sentra forum.

Yeah, you want the Sentra Forum, but that place here gets almost no traffic. You might want to try SR20 forum instead.

It beats waiting 2 weeks for a response...

No. www.sr20-forum.com
I meant a whole other forum other than NICO. I know that if we keep directing other people to another forum, then this one won't get any traffic, but I stand by sending people to the right place because that is where you'll get the information you need faster.

I know that Brandon already offered to help the OP out, so let's not be so hasty.

OP, we'll leave this thread in Gen Chat for a while so it'll get more visibility. There are B14 owners on this site who know their cars. Let's give 'em a chance.

What's your question?

I have a good engine but its getting older it has almost 250,000 miles on it. I want to look into getting something else that has more hp . i am not new to cars just kinda new to imports. i have owned my 200 sx for about two years. i don't really know where to start to find a different engine and other accessories. I have read a little about GT IR motors but dont know what is compatible to my car. maybe a little insight in which way i should go.

There are a lot of options open to you without even moving off your existing platform. Head over the the FWD-SR forum. You'll find a ton of useful information!

I'd personally just pull the SR20 out of the SE-R edition and do a mild build on that. Unless you're looking for a lot more horsepower. Then an SR20VE swap might be in order. I'm here to help with anything you need. I know a lot about the swaps people do on these cars and I can be of help in pointing you in the right direction.

And I do vouch for the SR20-Forum very much.

OP...

I removed your VIN as I am pretty sure you don't want that being on the internet with all the scammers out there.

Glad to know you're getting some help. Welcome to NICO, as well!!

The SE-R engine is a pretty decent little 2 litre engine. It's a naturally aspirated FWD variant of the SR20DET found in the Japanese S13 through S15 cars.

It's quite potent in stock form and can be built rather well. Don't know a whole lot about what goes into building one as I've never owned a FWD car, nor a car with an SR. But, an old buddy of mine from back home had a 200SX SE-R that while stock, was faster than my mildly modded 240SX with KA single cam.

TO be purely technical, the SR20DET is a RWD turbo version of the G20 engine. The SR20 was designed for the G20, and then adapted to the S13.

And, yes, there is the option of the SR20DET out of the Nissan Pulsar GTi-R or AWD Nissan Bluebird SSS, both cars from Japan.

Check this forum.

If ya really want to split hairs...It was originally designed for the U12 Blubird SSS.

This is just about what you're looking for if you want some mild performance and a generally better motor. It doesn't seem to have the transmission though, but I'm sure you could source one pretty easily.
