200 miles to gas light comes on

sl awd i keep getting 200 205 miles to the gas light comes on. every time i fill it up i reset the trip and every time im around 200 miles the gas light comes on and the gage is on e? any one have this promblem i live in brooklyn ny this car is only driven on the street

How many gallons does it take to fill it up? If the light is coming on prematurely, then you shouldn't have to fill it up all the way. Maybe that is a start.
