.....Bought my first G50.

taken this morning.

In that time:
I've driven it 56418 miles (most in a year 7368, least in a year 170)
Spent $14077 in parts/maint (my labor is free of course)
given it 3 plenum jobs
replaced the vcgs twice (including some help from Ben last time in 2024)
12 ATF drain/fills including 2 pan drops and filter change
22 oil/filter changes
recharged the accumulators twice (after purchasing rebuilt ones from Keith)

Drove down the hill and in to town this morning. Smiling all the while, and marveling at my almost new almost 32 year old survivor.

very cool. I've only had my current 2nd gen for 5 years but wisely haven't kept tabs on my upgrade/maintenance items

It can certainly bring back nostalgia right!? And the right climate means everything. I know Oregon favors a relatively cool climate without the Arizona or Florida heat going after the paint or road salt up north.

As much as I admire the pre-2002 Qs, sometimes it does feel a bit “too” vintage lol. People admire yet can be kinda snobby towards older cars. Or they don’t think they can go 100 mph, so they cut me off or tailgate thinking I can’t really push the throttle lol. But I be trying to save gas and not be gunning it all over town. I always get better mileage when I accelerate smoothly and keep it 75 or under.

Other times the compliments come and I’m like thanks, but it’s hard to get it 100% running perfectly when I don’t always have the money to pour into it, and chasing down mechanics to get stuff fixed lol.
