Apparently no one else wanted to apply for the chief of police position at this Mexican town, so she got the job when she applied. I guess Mexico is REALLY getting that bad.

fact:
-she's a criminology student
-has an infant child
-has about 13 people in her police force (9 of whom are women)
-will not pose any direct conflict with drug traffickers, but "focus on preventative programs to improve general security" (a commendable decision)
-has only 1 working police vehicle in her possession
-very determined to protect her town
-unafraid
-the last mayor of her town was assassinated
-she's muy caliente :naughty: :naughty:

I wonder how long it will take before she is raped, beaten, murdered, or assassinated...

1. THIS WILL END WELL

2. I'd hit it.

3. I'd bribe it.

I admire her bravery, but she just signed her own death warrant.

i agree. especially when you know all the 40+ men in that town were all like "you do it".. "no you".. and eventually they waited till a small, young girl raised her hand to show them she had more cajones. ;)

So kind of a "We will try to serve more than we can or will protect" dept., and with only 1 working vehicle service will be slow.

if drug traffickers are really that shallow and inconsiderate, they'll attempt to do something to her. Perhaps her age and gender will act as a protection for her? or not...

well if she's mexico's answer to sarah palin, mayb she'll depart from the limelight as fast as palin did.

Lol, they're drug traffickers. I'd be surprised if they DIDN'T pull anything.

Sooo... 6 months later and she's in the news again. Thankfully, she's not dead (I hope). ABC reports she may be seeking asylum in U.S., but CNN is reporting that she's been missing for days...

It sucks 'the bravest woman in Mexico' just got chased out of her own country. I hope the men of her town are ashamed they did nothing to help her retake order after she stepped in where they would not. I bet this woman is cool as hell and i wish her the best. Mexico needs more peeps like her.

Yeah. Sucks though, but I didn't even hear about this one until the cute chick landed back in the news...

Good for her. F*** that job. Wasn't worth her life or that other girl, Erika's. But at least they tried...

Yeah, I really frigging doubt it.

On the other hand, I hope she's able to get along well here in the U.S. I mean, is she considered an illegal while she's here? She's college educated... I'm sure she could make herself very useful here.

But I still think she should get further away from the border. The cartels obviously ain't scared of coming up here.
