i've seen it done. but i've also heard people say they were too big, but if it has been done it can't be too bad.

i'm not familiar with the altimas but you might want to change your brakes also for stopping power...but since yours is an 05 it shouldn't be bad. what kind of rims you planning on putting on?

thanks for the reply.

I still got lots of rubber on mine. I just wanted to know for the future when I need tires.. If 20 inch rims/tires save on gas milage? I will change over then. that will be in two years, thats too long for you. but I needed to know how the fuel and handling was on the larger tires/ims. What's your thoughts?

when I originally put the 22's on the car it was not tubbed and it did not rub its all in the offset...since then I had the rear suicides done and its unibody dropped and lays crossmember!

That's impressive. I believe you're show car should be daily driven. If it's not, what's the point?

20's work fine with an 05. I have an 05 and 20's leave enough space all around. Def need to upgrade your stopping power tho. It's not bad but it could help . here's some pics of mine with the 20's on them. Tire size is 245/35/20

That's just silly. Anything bigger than 18's looks goofy on an Altima, plus it just adds unnecessary weight.

there are plenty of altimas out there on 20s. Im either going 19s or 20s on mine soon. I may use the G35 18s for awhile (i know they are staggered RWD) but the G is getting some new shoes real soon, so might as well.

you can pick up a set of these from an autoparts store. my homeboy on 22's got them and he doesnt rub in the rear anymore.

it can be done, but ur gonna need huge spacers and probably might have to modify your front wheel well. I think that 18's is prolly the w2g
