Well, you might not get much love from the other older guys here, but you can get some from me since I have 20's on my car. I have 255/35/20 Nexen N3000 tires with load rating of 97Y (which exceeds the OEM standards). Whenever I need to get my next set of tires, I'm going with 245/35/20 though.kevinq45 wrote:I have 2000 Q45, I want to get 20" Rims, what offset should i get and tires size so it wil fit perfectly or do i have to modify anything?
Thanks
I run the FX45 20" with Nitto 555 245/35/20. Load rating on the tires are 95W so there shouldn't be any issue. They are slightly smaller than the original tires so I might switch to a 255/35/20 when I wear these out.maxnix wrote:You are going to have to run 255/40 in 20 to meet the minimum OEM load rating at teh OEM specified 26" unloaded diameter (actually the 20" tire will be 26.1"). Also, all tiresin this size range seem to be load rated 92, less than the OEM recommended 94.
If you want to actually improve your performance, moving to 19" or especially 18" will be better (less performance penalty due to additional rotational and unsprung mass) if you buy a good (not a poseur) wheel that is light and strong.
It helps board members if you post your car model in your profile.

Looks a little rubber bands on caster wheels to me. Great if you are into the shopping cart ride, performance, looks.NY94J30 wrote:The 20" FX rims look really good on the Y33, in my opinion.
The pictured car is running a 245/35 - and the PO said there is no rubbing with a 20x8, +40 on lowering springs.
But no performance. 17" or 18" will have much more comfort. But if you are a slave to teenage parking lot fashion, 19" is a better compromise than 20".kevinq45 wrote:Thank you guys! I will settle with 19" rims, i want comfort and style look like the 20" has no rubber on them.
