20 Nissan Versa CVT Question

I just wanted to know if its normal for the transmissan to actually shift around 40 mph --Yes its a CVT Trans but we feel like an actual s***! 25K on car looking to buy! 20 Nissan Versa 1.6 CVT Thank you!!!

I believe the transmission remains the same as the '12~'19's, a dual range unit with a planetary gearset in addition to the belt and pulleys. So yes, you're feeling a shift from low to high range..
