Hello M35/M45 Forum,

What would be the best square setup on 20 inch rims (front and rear sizes the same) for a 2007 rear wheel drive M35 non-sport model?

I'm looking to go with 20s. I will not be lowering the suspension. They need to be square setup (same dimensions front and rear). I will be carrying adult passengers in the back from time to time. Your insight is greatly appreciated. Thank you guys! :) :)

Probably 20x8.5 or 20x9. With like a 35 offset.

20x9.5 +45mm offset works for me. No spacers. Pretty flush.

Thanks for the insight/input! That is quite flush. Your car looks really nice and it appears to be lowered. I won't be lowering my car though. With the 20x9.5 +45mm offset, will the tire rub if I have two adult passengers in the back? Also with your setup, will my front wheels rub when making sharp turns? P.S. What tire size are you running?

Thanks!

I love using the site below for playing with new wheels / tires on my car. At the top of the left column, you enter OEM sizes for wheels / tires.
At the top of the right column, you enter the changes you want to make. The chart shows how your changes affect fitment, speed, etc.

https://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp

I entered your OEM settings ( not sure if yours had 18' wheels, but mine did, so I started with 245/45/18 X 8 with 45 offset. Then I played with the 20" wheels until I found a combo that made the least changes, since you won't be lowering your car. I used 265/35/20 X 9 with 40 offset. Here are the results:

0.2" closer to suspension / brakes = acceptable

0.6" farther out = acceptable

0.35" less clearance inside wheel well = acceptable

60 mph on speedo = 61.5 mph actual speed

** if you have 19" wheels now, the changes for this same new set-up are even less different.
