I've owned my 2011 M37 for exactly 1 week today, and I decide to try my luck in a super-tight drive-thru in the main floor of a high-rise building in Midtown Atlanta. Sure 'nuf, I pull out cutting too soon and the rear left side scrapes the curb, scratching the edge of the rim almost a full 3/4 of the way around. :facepalm2

Sorry if this is a frivolous thread but I wonder if there's a way to buff the scratches out on these. Are there businesses that do this sort of job professionally? (I'm assuming there must be.) Bonus if you know of one in the ATL area...

Sounds similar to my situation back when I first got my car.

I also had my car for about a week, and decided to spray some wheel cleaner on my rim....while the rim was still hot. :tisk:

It stripped the clear coat off and now all the rims look dirty, even though they are clean. I know the feeling very well and I still get upset at myself because of that.

Luckily for you this sounds like an easy fix especially since it's only one rim. You might have to ride around with the spare for a day or two while the work gets done. Do you have chrome rim? or do you just have the non-sport rims?

Their are a couple of repair shops in my area in Charlotte, I would imagine there should be some in ATL since it's an even more popular city. Doesn't sound too bad breh!

Sorry to hear about your rim, I know the feeling! :frown:

I have used these guys in my local area before: http://www.awrswheelrepair.com/index.html

They have locations in ATL, at least it looks like they do on their site.

They did great work, and the price was really reasonable, as compared to a new wheel. Further, they came to my work, and did it on site.

I've used Alloy Wheel Repair here in the Richmond area, and they do a good job; the come right to my office and the job is done in their mobile workshop. Last time I had a wheel repaired it was $135.00. Well worth it compared to a new wheel replacement! Takes no more than 2 hours work. Recommended.

I hope you get your wheel fixed but sometimes is just best to replace it because of cost. I heard some places charging $200 to $300 for small fix :frown:

But I have to say when I read the title to this thread the 1st thing I said was the curb won!!!

I have often heard $125-150 per wheel for the repair.
