There's a lot of highway and opportunity between here and St Louis so I can't promise that a case of New Belgium would make fully intact!

i've just gotten done putting an s15 cluster in my s14 (working speedo woot) interested in the cluster surround you've got...was it custom made or did you just use an s15 bezel in the s14 dash?

really?? did you use a "dakota digital" to calibrate it? the cluster was made using two s14 cluster and then cutting, and combining them. wish i could tell you more about it but it just was a trial and error thing that took a night to play with and figure out.

i have the dakota digital box, but could not get it to work with the s14 speed sensor. my car's non-abs, but i swapped in an lsd that had the abs sensor in it. we basically extended the wires that came from the sensor and wired it to the dakota box and got our speed signal that way. and my dimmer works woot. what i'm most interested in with your bezel is how you got rid of the gap on the bottom.

i had a friend who did the wiring of the cluster-it's set up so that my old s14 cluster harness is intact, so if i want to revert to the old cluster i can :).

Did you have your dash and door panels painted gray or reupholstered them? Car looks clean. Weird seeing a CA18DET in an s14 but very cool

Huh, i thought the dakota digital was fully adjustable and could be set to any sensing frequency. Interesting, thanks. So the bezel....on the bottom edge i just JB Welded a plastic to the bottom to extend to meet and go under the bottom of the instrument cluster. There is a gap there and your right it needs to be filled somehow so that's what I used.

I did...um, both! So its a two tone paint scheme on the dash and door panels. And put in new carpet in the doors to match the gray paint. I did it myself and I'm an idiot, so you could do it as well. there is information out there on how to prep and paint your interior and definately products specific to the job that make it easy to do, look good, and done to last.

haha, oh man. I swear world war III could be started on RB vs SR vs CA :) Well, I had the CA in Japan in my S13 and that engine is simply amazing and Nissan knew it but didn't keep making it because it was too expensive to produce. they went with an aluminum block, rocker arms, and many other changes with the SR that made it cheaper to produce. I also fell completely in love with the S14's and wanted to join the two generations. You can do it...it only takes 6 years :) na, jk but it always was a great engine in Japan when I had it and always was happiest running at 7 grand but now that it is fully built is seems to really be a bulletproof engine and we were able to make 322hp out of just 18psi.

in a word? no...it's a mod takes 8-12 hours easy. i had a friend that basically did all the work-he's done this mod a few times and it still took him all day. not many people have done it just because it's so much work to get the cluster working. but i just wanted something a little different than white faced gauges lol.

here's a night shot-battery was kinda dead so it didn't come out as bright as it should:
