20 compatable w 25?

alright, i have a rb20 rail and want to know if it will bolt into a rb25 intake mani. id go check but im out of town and was pondering the idea. i have top feed 72lb injectors i wanna run... all id have to do is put some 10ohm capacitors in to raise the impedence. correct?

RB25DETs use Side feed injectors, and RB20DET's use top feed so the answer is no.

The top feed R32 rail has been adapted to an R33 Rb25det once before.

I'd imagine with a bit of handy work its not too difficult. Depends what tools and materials you have at your disposal.

ya i knew the rb20 was top feed and the rb25 was sidefed. my question was more of swapping the rails from the 20 to the 25, will that bolt up? ill look at it when i get home ut without it infront of me its a little harder.

Not sure if the mounts are the same, but the ports will be. It would be very easy to just make new mounts for the rail or even make some extensions for the factor mount position. It would work. You could even do the RB26 rail before, I have compared both of those (RB26 laying next to the RB25's rail) but the mounts were off just a little...the injector ports on both were the same though.

or if you can find one the r32 rb25de had top feed injectors, but the fuel rail might be the same as the 20.

The R32 RB25DE and R32 RB20DET have a LOT in common.

Injectors and fuel rail are exactly the same. As are the valve springs.

The reason the RB25de head has issues with valve float with the same springs when the rb20det does not is due to the heavier larger valves the rb25 runs.

Obviously bigger valves require heavier valve springs to control the valves.
