I just had my remote start/alarm installed, it is the CompuStar P2W9000R. The problem is every time I push the lock/unlock button it says 'fail'. At one point the lcd screen showed the car was unlocked and I could not lock it, so I locked it with my nissan key. I cant get in my car because the alarm will go off if I use the nissan key and the unlock is not working on my CompuStar.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Does anyone else use this system?

Sounds like a defective unit. I hope you bought it from the place that installed it so you can take it back to them and have them fix it.

you should definately NOT be having problems this early... but my guess is you will have similar problems in the future. THat's a really poor brand of remote start. In the alarm company world, you usually get what you pay for. You can have them reset the remote, but if it happens again, I would have them remove it and give you credit for that alarm, and get a real name brand alarm put in (Viper, Clifford, Hornet, Prestige, Autopage, etc.) not they those can't go bad either, because they can and they do... but they usually will take longer than a week to start messing up.

After 1 year, I'm finally having issues with my Autopage RS-1000 system... taking it back next week to get corrected...
