I would suggest this: turn the black into the stylish one and turn the blue onyx into the road trip machine. The black doesn't hold up well on long trips... I commute in mine and the hood and body are starting to show signs of wear and tear after only 7500 miles. But I expected that, because black shows every single little imperfection (chips, dings, etc). You should throw the cruise control, armrest and sound system into the blue one first, and put fog lights on both (for style on the black one and more for functionality on the blue one). Then whatever custom work you want to throw at the black one will only make it look alot nicer (spoiler, side sills, wheels, etc). Just my suggestion.
