Ok, so I already have like a kind of black/blue theme going on inside my car. I have charcoal cloth interior with Blue LEDs (dome, map, doors, cup holders & trunk light).

Well lately I've been thinking about getting footwell LEDs also. Now, idk if I want to get more blue LEDs, or if I should get a different color to like mix it up a little bit.

What do you guys think? Should I get more blue, or get a different color? And if so, what color?

I just installed my leds today! I was thinking about the same thing, because if the blue led strips from ozniums are darker, I think it would accent the other blue bulbs. If anything I might do white.

i was thinking the same thing, because blue & white look good together. But idk if the white would look more like a stock light?

I personally think you should stick with blue, unless say you put purple footwell leds, then you would need purple somewhere else as well to compliment the blue and it doesn't look like something happened where you HAD to get purple because they didn't have blue or something like that.

Hope that made sense

yea, i'll prob just stick with blue then.... it IS my favorite color... lol =)

for those that have footwell LEDs, do you usually keep them on while driving? or do you use a switch to turn them on when you want them to come on?

Always use a switch...y'know, just in case the 5-0 decide you've been naughty it's nice to be able to hide that kind of stuff!

I'd opt for a two-tone setup personally. Either blue and white or blue and orange. Again, it's more personal preference than anything else...

is it illegal to have light emitting there while driving at night? well in CA at least... and as for the two-tone, that's what i originally wanted. but wasn't sure what color to get. i thought getting more blue could possibly be over doing it.is there like a soft white that isn't too bright? idk if that makes sense, but something that doesn't overpower the blue.

As a rule of thumb, I generally accept that any lights that can easily be seen from outside your car that aren't stock colours can technically be deemed illegal. The cops around here are d!ck so I'd rather not push it. Not too sure how lax the laws are about this in CA though...

I think if you accented with some small 5mm LED (rather than some of the strips/superfluxes) it wouldn't overpower the blue.

Cool white usually is a more pure form of white possibly with a hint of blue. A warm white is usually a bit dimmer and possibly has a hint of yellow.

I don't usually have mine on during driving, since I haven't switched my gauge cluster colors yet (me and my brother are going to try and tackle this in the next few months or maybe early next year) I just turn those off because I personally don't like the way orange and blue go together (I know they are complimentary I just don't like it)

My lights are not visible from outside, unless you are at the window looking in. and cops can say you are a distraction and can harm other drivers with your lights. You would have to work pretty hard to get them that bright though, and if they are that bright you probably shouldn't be driving with them on

Anywhere on Oznium. Generally speaking, if it lists the colour as "white" it's pretty safe to assume it's a cool white. They're usually very careful to distinguish whether or not it's a "warm" white.

I have "white" led strips as my turn signals I can look up some pictures of them on if you want but they are on the exterior of the car, installing them on the inside might give it a different look I'm not sure.

Rob, that looks sick! I love the turn signal light as well as the Audi-style thing you've got going on beneath the fog-light housing.

Thanks, since I tinted the headlights the stock turn signal reflects off the tint onto the bottom of the headlight housing. The pictures are a bit off because it's my phone and had a super long shutter speed because it was dark.

It looks really nice, I still have one more blue strip so I might add it under there as well just to make it pop a little more. One of the LEDs burnt out on my turn signal though so I need to go buy another white one, along with another LED that failed on my license plate lights (only lasted a few weeks) and need to get brighter reverse lights.

Make up your mind yet Srwong ??? I wanna see how you work this two tone if you wind up doing it

well, i definatley wanna do a 2 tone... i just don't know what color i want yet... i'm in vegas right now so i don't have a whole lot of time to be trying to look and decide what i want...

but i know i don't want white, it looks like it would take away from the blue and that the white would be the first thing to catch your eye. and i don't want that, i want them to blend... i'm not a big fan of red or orange. i'm trying to do a blue/black/gray scheme in my car. is there like a blue that is maybe a little darker or lighter than the interior blulbs? i was looking on oznium and i thought i saw a lighter or darker blue but i think that was purple.. =/

I think you're best off with purple. Unless you find a dark blue, but that would most likely be a single LED and you'd have to do the wiring

ok, i went back and looked. and the color is UV-blacklight, it's like a darker blue/purple... it's off of oznium.... it looks like a pretty good match to my blue leds... what do you guys think about adding them to the footwells? i tried looking for a pic of it in the flexible LEDs strip, but i couldn't find one... =/

IMO you should do blue 9.5inch leds in the footwells, i have them and love them. They go perfectly with all the other leds that i swapped, which are also blue. But if your gonna do 2 tone, something that would go with the blue id think would be purple, but not my style lol
