So my car ran out of gas and I decided to pour some gas from a gas can into my tank to get to the gas station... two gas cans in my garage, one mix, one 87. I guess I grabbed the wrong one cause I got 10 feet down the road and my car shut off and wont start again.

I pulled the plugs and they are fouled bad and wet. The can I grabbed had the bluish tint like regular gas and smelled like regular gas. But when I rechecked the empty can and saw some oil in the bottom of it floating so I guess it was mix...

I have new plugs and a new fuel filter and fuel injection cleaner but I dunno if it'll work.

Anybody have any idea's?? Am I going to have to rebuild the engine?? What should I do. I don't want to make any mistakes and I want this biatch to run again. If you have heard of this problem before and/or how to fix it please inform me.... Thnx.

Drain the tank, purge the lines, and put some 91 or 93 in her, what ever is available. Fill it up...

It's just oil in there, it should be fine. Get it started with fresh gas, and watch the smoke show for a while.

New plugs after the first tank.

Well, problem solved....

I hooked a hose to the fuel filter line and turned the car on and watched the fuel pump pour the gas out into the gas can, then ran it through with a gallon of 93, then hooked it up and had to crank the starter for about 10 minutes before it would even stumble.

I took out the plugs, which were covered in oil, cleaned them, sprayed carb cleaner into the plug holes and cranked it to spray it all out the top, then put the plugs in and she purred like a kitten. Ran a bit rough and smoked a few miles then was nearly perfect.

New plugs and fuel filter with Lucas fuel injection cleaner concentrate on 10 gallons of boosted 93 octane later and it makes more power than before. Nice and smooth.

Clean sailing... <---- Got my hater blocka's on!
