Giving up on first 240, now has TERRIBLE knocking under hood. Not sure if it is valves, rod, piston.... So, I am getting another one with a ridiculously strong engine (must have been built on a Tuesday!), but a trashed interior. I am thinking of taking my good interior (majority) and putting it in the new aquisition. So, here's my query... the new one has zero power goodies, whereas my older one has power everyhting. Did Nissan do us all a huge favor and perhaps make one wiring harness, much like you find in some mazdas and alot of fords???? Can I just remove the motors, switches, etc. and make the swap into my non-power s13??? I have pondered swapping engines, but the body on the new toy has less damage, and it's silver, which is what I really wanted when I got my red one. Hey, I'll be among the elite 240 owners... I'll have TWO!!!!! (well, one and a decent parts car.... oh well!) So, help me out guys and gals..... I know you will, so thanks!!!!!

Surprisingly, the power swap isn't that hard. On some cars the harness is already in the door, others I've seen it back in the dash itself. Windows shouldn't be hard, however the door locks are a little tricky to install. Try it, you really don't have much to lose!

I was kinda hoping for that response!!! I had a friend with a mazdawg pickup, and it was a no-power for nothin' vehicle. He bought a loaded model for parts (no engine, transmission, etc...) and turned out he just had to move hardware, and install switches. Maybe I will be so lucky!! Like you said, I've got nothin' to lose!
