OSCN again, told ya I'd be back. #1, oil pressure gauge. gauge is inconsistent occasionally. From cold, reads above 60lbs, warm at (reasonable) speed, 55ish. But then, I'll look down and it will have dropped to 30 (at speed) and below when idling. But then, a little later, back up where it should be. Car uses no oil and leaks none. Many years ago I had an MGB which did the same thing. Thoughts?

And, #2, seats. My car is a NA 2+2, '91. The seats are pigeon toed, ie, they lean towards each other. When I get in, I slide towards the center

Thanks again for the DS help! OSCN

for #1 I'd check the simple things first. test the sending unit and the sensor for the gauge

for #2 make sure the brackets aren't bent (easy to check, only 4 bolts hold the seats in) and if they're not you could always attempt to shim them so they sit straight if you didnt want to buy another set.

Best of luck

First, thanks for the quick response. Seat brackets appear fine. I did shim the inside rear mountings and did help some, I don't slide across quite a fast, but still is not what I feel correct. Plus, with shim, bolt barely threads on stud. We'll see if others have had this quirk.

As I am learning about 300zx's, the sending unit and gauge sensor. Major or minor task to get to? gauge almost mimics the tach except for its occasional nose dives. Thanks again. OSCN
