So I finally got my T28 set up finally working. Thanks to everyone who answered my questions. However, 2 things

My downpipe won't hook up to my o2 housing. It his the framerail so I cant get it hooked up. Suggestions? Ideas? Also...

My idle is fine. But when i tap the gas the CA bogs down afterwards and almost stalls out. It hits about 400-500 rps and wants to cut out really bad then jumps back out to where it has to be. It did this a little with the stock T25, but seems to be doing it a little worse now. Still stock maf, and brand new plugs. NGK Irridiams or w/e there called. Any ideas? Dirty injectors maybe?

Thanks guys.

I bet you're gonna have to plug up the bung originally and relocate it somewhere else. Not too hard if you have access to a welder.

I've been told that you have to get the car properly tuned b4 slapping on a bigger turbo and driving it away. I've sure it's either too rich/lean near idle and when you tap on the gas, it wants to die.

Basically, relocate the o2 bung and get it tuned....

the rpming RPM band........ sounds like a leak in vac..... probably somewhere along the IC piping line.

when changing snails you have to get new turbo elbow can such to mate to the T28. I do believe there are some cheaper ones on ebay.

So today I drove around the block in. Boost shot up to about 14 or 15 pounds at around 4000-4500 RPM. I went oh **** and engaged the clutch. Right away the car started making funny noises and bogging out and wanting to stall, I thought the engine was done for sure. Turns out these ****ty Canadian Tire adapters on my intercooler piping blew off, so I was getting no boost at all, but do you know why my boost would just go up like that? Maybe something wasnt hooked up right? F'd wastegate?

ALSO, my buddy made a suggestion with the downpipe. He said unbolt it from the cat and then hook it up to the o2 housing, THEN hook it back up the cat. Said it might work. Thoughts? Its been a rough day, but we made it through it.

Oh, also a pretty loud backfire at 5000RPM. Jesus I need a tune. Im surprised I didnt blow the headgasket

Okay chief, what all is done to this car. Fuel system modifications? ECU mods? Did you just slap a t28 on a stock ca18? I don't have much to work with here. I need to know everything about this car to help you properly.

I would think:

a) the wastegate isn't working properly or,

b) the wastegate spring is set to 14 or 15psi

Downpipe wise, i would say you have a SR downpipe on the stock CA o2 housing. get the SR o2 housing and itll work no problems. I am sure someone on the SR forum will part with theirs for $25 or so.

My car used to do the bogging idle crap, then I got it wired up properly. Check your grounds and harness for loose connections. You could even go as far as checking all the signals with a multimeter to make sure everything is getting the correct voltage. I did and it was worth it.

Check it for codes, maybe add some big ground wires to the engine, and make sure all your harness connections are solid. You may also want to try a compression test.

Do you have any ideas on why the boost is spiking up like crazy though? Is there a way to tell how much the wastegate is set for?

I don't think there really is a way to check what its set for. It should be 7psi though on a stock Nissan turbo. You should see if it operates freely by moving it with your hand. If its really tough you might have a problem. If you have your old turbo, you can just swap the actuators out.

ok, question.

this is my turbo more or less

http://www.turbophile.com/our_...t.jpg

and this is another turbo with an internal wastegate...

http://www.pwrhaus.com/images/...g.jpg

is mine supposed to be connected like that? because it isn't. From my wastegate there is just a rubber hose that goes into what appears to be a boost controller or something....its this little black rubber box thing with a bunch of tubes going in and out of it. I think it's probably something I hooked up wrong when I did my install. Thanks for the help.

Ummm....I hope you know being in Canada doesn't mean that it came off the dealership lot.

We have to import them just the same as you.

Same 240's here, just without the gay auto seat belts.

Ha, I meant ditch the little black box with the lines running to it that you mentioned, like DALAZ said.

I know they didn't sell them in Canada originally. Really, it makes no difference, it would still be a 19yr old turbocharged car. Problems will still exist.

Just throw up some pictures, we can go from there.
