Ok maybe one of you guys can help me with this. I purchased bkr5e-11 ngk plugs. I used to run denso plugs that were one step colder with my 125 shot. I am getting ready to switch to a turbo setup so I just got the bkr5r-11's. Just incase I get the urge to spray again before I get the turbo underway I purchased bkr6e's . What is the difference between bkr*e-11 and bkr*e? Also does one number higher = 1 step colder in ngk plugs?

I searched on the heat range question but came up with someone saying that 1 number higher = 1 step colder and then another person saying that bkr7e-11 was 1 step colder.

ok I found the answer th the heat range question but still wondering what the difference is between bkr*e-11 and bkr*e? In other words, what does the 11 stand for?

Try this

Or this

Basically, 11 refers to the gap set by the factory. .044 in this case.

Thank you very much for the info. I missed that second page on the ngk site.
