where is the knock sensor located? and can i go full stand alone ecu to turbo my obd11 and maybe pass inspection? greddy emanage blue or aem ems

Obd 1 or obd II ? That makes a difference, but you can make either work but it changes your options. Also aem and greddy emanage are 2 completely different things.

Knock sensor is under the intake manifold between the #2 and #3 cylinder. Have you considered just running a FMU?

well my turbo is good for 400hp or a lil more so thats my target..i alway thaught fmu wasnt really safe and its only good for low boost

sorry to thread jack but ill soon be building my my ka in my s14. Im only going for a low boost basic setup, i was told an FMU was the way to go but which ratio remains a mystery. people were hovering around 6:1 and 8:1 but still no clear answer lol. details are:
nissan t25
wanna run 7 psi
walbro 255
3 inch exhaust
stock internals

any ideas? flame if needed.

7psi is pretty much the max I would go with an FMU. If it were me, I'd run the 8:1 with 93 octane, and replace your factory fuel pressure regulator with something that can regulate your base fuel pressure. Basically, try and keep your maximum fuel pressure under ~90psi.
