Hello-I just purchased a 2005 Murano and a couple things have happened since I bought the vehicle. First of all, when I was driving it last night, I was fooling with the buttons and pushed the AWD button. Apparently I put too much muscle into it and caved the button in, beneath the consol (about 1 inch). I can't believe I did this. Has anyone heard of this? I don't know how difficult it would be to fix. I'm afraid the dealership will charge me an arm and leg.

My other problem has to do with the cigarette lighter adapter. None of the 3 in the vehicle are working! And I already checked the fuse. It looks fine. Maybe I will replace it just for the heck of it. Is there any other reason these would quit working if not for the fuse?

Thanks in advance for everyones help! Joe

First off, I want to welcome you to NICOclub. I really hope you enjoy the Murano forum, and find it informative as well.

Now, some help on your issues....

1. I am a bit shocked that the AWD button let loose, I am guessing that maybe a part of the plastic that holds the switch in place, I personally have never taken a switch out, but you can check out the service manual for free at the following link:

2. Maybe try replacing the fuse, also on my Armada there are addition fuses under the hood, I am not sure if that is the case on your Murano, but it maybe worth checking. You could also call a Nissan dealer and see what their thought might be on that. They can't charge you for a phone call!!!

Good luck and let us know how things work out!

I just bought a 05 Murano SE the other day and the button did the exact same thing it cost the dealership 140.00 CDN to get a new bracket or something
