Post

HI everyone,

I just leased a 2009 CVT-Nissan Versa SL.

I dont drive a lot so i usually rent cars (corolla, sebring,pt cruiser) and I noticed that the EPowerSteering seems a bit tough, not very smooth. I need to force more than usual to turn compared to other cars. Anyone has this issue? I have send to the dealer to look at this just in case.

Has anyone noticed a metal part in the space under the steering wheel that seems to hangout?

Thanks,

Sofiane from Montreal thx

I have the same car as you and I must say that the steering is one of the smoothest I have experienced. I do not find it tough at all. I really like the EP, so easy to turn when slow and nice and tight when cruising. Maybe you should get it checked out.

I have a 2008 SL Versa (hatchback) w/ CVT and tech package as well.Steering is smooth and never been an issue. Smooth, quiet, and verry good gas mileage as long as you drive it sensibly.( Keep the revs down for gas mileage) The main thing I love about My Versa is the room, does not feel like a small car inside.

I am 6'3 260 Lbs with really long legs haha i obviously need the maximum settings for the seat and the steering wheel....its not a smooth transition to go in hahah but space wise I am pretty good and people can sit behind me as long as they dont really long legs haha

i hope there is an issue with the power steering..that is fixable...my perception is not necessarily fixable h

My 08 SL with the full Tech package steers so smoothly , I actually have to be careful with it.As for that little metal plate your talking about under the steering in the floor.Just rip it out.I had mine come up on me one nite and it shocked me with the clicking noise. I shoved it back down and it stopped clicking.I asked one of our techs about it the next day and he said it's a PITA,,,he's a had a couple come out on him during a PDI and he's just taken them out and there has not been a problem.
