1st is that the belt slipped off of the pulley where the a/c compressor is (I think). It is on the driver's side. The pulley (wheel?) is very wobbly. I did the steps to adjust/loosen the assy and put the belt back on but belt came off while turning car over before car even started. It looks like a washer is missing to hold wheel steady but I doubt that it is the case. This engine was replaced by a big 240 shop in Tampa and A/C has never worked since I got the car back. They are too far to drop by and have them work on it again (over 100 miles one way).

2nd prob is that on low beam the passenger side light doesn't work. Both lights work on high beams. I replaced the bulb thinking that the low beam burned out but it didn't correct the problem. It used to happen every so often and I could roll light switch back toward off and hear a click but lights never went out or started to retract and the passenger low beam would come on. Can the switch on the column be bad and can it be easily replaced?

Thanks in advance folks.

Nissan sells an idler/adjuster assy. With a new belt and adjuster it should fly.The combination switches(headlight) are famous for burning out single contacts.

OK, here's an update. The wobbly pulley was on the power steering pump instead of the a/c pump. The pulley is striped somehow. Managed to cut nut off and put 2 washers on to hold it in place temporarily. This allows the pulley to turn where it should and allows belt to pull water pump so no more overheating. Put new nut on with locktite. At least now I can drive it around town for short trips. Will put new pulley on when I find one.Have been asking around for headlight/turn signal stalk to solve question #2.
