2 problems that are annoying the crap out of me. odometer and airbag....

I need some help here. i have a 4dr r34 with a rb26 with power fc. First question is about the airbag. The Airbag light keeps flashing and its connected!!!! and not popped. So i was wondering if it is possible to remove the sensor all together and make it not flash, cause the driver side airbag is going to come out when i take the steering wheel off anyway. 2 the odometer in my car does not work, nether does the speedometer. I am thinking that these 2 are related, but my question is where does it go to??? does it go from odometer/speedometer to the ecu to the transmission or just from the transmission to the odo/speed meter. where on the transmission would it be located????? any help would be nice. thank you in advance.

when the airbag light flashes there is a fault code stored tin the airbag control module. the speedo get signal from the ecm and the odometer works off the speedo. (i could be wrong) possible a problem with the power fc.
