I have a 2001 Nissan Altima. I am hearing this gawd awful screeching noise from what seems to be the fan assembly. It only screeches when the ac is on. I just replaced all my belts about 2 months ago and the screeching is not coming from the belts. When I'm under the hood and give the car some gas, the screeching starts. It's VERY loud and lasts only a couple of seconds. Any thoughts before I replace the fan assembly?
2nd question is that my fuel gauge is not working. I asked a technician about this and he said there could be 100's of reasons why it won't work. Any help is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks and love the site.

Well, I spun it and it spins freely. When I had my wife start the car up and turn the ac on, the sound was there and the fan didn't start turning right away. Should the fan start turning as soon as you turn the car and ac on?
