2 piece wheels rebuildable?

Maybe it's a dumb question, maybe it's not but I'm here to find an answer!Can you rebuild a 2 piece wheel to get wider lips?

Good question, but I doubt they can. A 2 piece wheel has a center section and a barrel/rim. Seems like the barrel is designed for the center to fit at a certain location, and moving the center in or out would compromise the wheel.

I think you would need a new barrel designed for the offset youre seeking.

I ended up contacting work about this, and they said their 2 piece wheels are welded together and it is not at all a good idea to break to welds to put new shells on. So if anyone else is curious, you're best bet it getting new wheels
