2 Paths in computer of USDM 240's(maybe other nissans too)

there are 2 paths that the USDM KAE computer follows - fuel economy & high performance (rich mix). I didn't know this but some of you might. It just surprised me when my perf. instructor told me 'bout it. He also told me that SR20's in japan have the same functions but the driver has to switch the paths manually via switch.

I thought you got more power if you where slightly on the lean side.
