hey guys, I have 2 questions, im sure its been asked before...

how far can the nissan altima coupe 08 go without its keys in the car? ex. i turn it on, i leave it with the keys and someone steals it.

2nd, is there an easier way to move the driver seats forward to let people into the back without using the electrical mover? ( like the manual lever under the passenger front seat)

thanks!

1. They could go as far as they wanted until they ran out of gas. If they turned it off though, then they wouldn't be able to turn it back on without the key.

2. I don't believe so. I'm really picky about my seat position so I make people get in through the passenger side.

wow thanks for the super fast responses, guys.

thats too bad, i thought there might be some kind of security on there without the keys.moving the driver seat forward electronically is way too slow. And i really hate when people have to wait there while i move it. oh well

Just use the lever on the driver's seat's left shoulder to lean the seat forward. Then put the right foot in first, lean forward, put the a$$ inside, then left foot in. If the person was able to fit behind the driver's seat, he/she should be able to get in/out from that space.

There's your answer for number two. Other people giving bad information.

But if that person needs just a LITTLE more room, you can move the seat forward, but you use that lever that zilla described to tilt the seat forward quicker than the power way. Also, this puts the seat back to the exact angle you had it.

Yeah, the solution is called "turning the car off."

If you wouldn't leave the key in the ignition in a normal car (or leave it running and walk away), why would you do it in your Altima?

my car i had a friend sitting in my backseat with the engine on so that he could listen to music while i had to go into a house to do something...i took accidently took the keys with me and when i came back.. the engine turned off and i asked him what happened..he said the car just turned off by itself...so my guess is that if the car is in idle without the key for a good 5-10 minutes? it may just automatically turn off.. but im not exactly sure

I think you might have put it in ACC mode or if it was ON, your friend might have played around with the button or something and it turned off but he didn't admit it. I remember 1 time I parked my car at a restaurant and forgot to turn it off, and when I came back out about 1 hour later after I have finished eating, it was still running.
