hey elnegro, you ever come back the bay area? i think i've lost your screenname as i've not talked to you in maybe a year or so. i'm finally getting my car together - mild rebuild cuz i blew the headgasket so i'm looking forward to taking it to the track.

your setup looks intimidating man, put down some good numbers so all of us sr20det owners get some more bragging rights! haha

NICE video,

you beat him soundly the first race.... that one counts

do you have any plans for the exterior?

like maybe a 2" drop and some wheels?

Well, I'm in the process of collecting parts for the silvia front end (miss my old one on my old red car). Searching (as always) for an OEM Aero bumper though, ha ha. I want it all OEM looking! As for wheels, Next spring I'll probably pick up a set of very nice 17's. I may go with over fenders so I can do 17x11 in the rear and 17x9 up front with very wide tires! Don't know yet, because I'd rather keep the clean OEM look...

that sounds GREAT to me,most aftermarket aero is impractical,

I used to love all the vertex and GP sports stuffbut I outgrew it.

flares are easy, and if you like these wheels they're ccw 1100 for a custom set of 4.

im planning to do something more like teddy's s13.

I have a pair of 315/35/17 Mickey Thompson Drag Radials that I test fitted (without wheels of course), and with a +14 offset 17x10 it would clear inside and stick out about 2 inches, ha ha. That would be freakin awesome! Widest I've seen on a 240 was a 295/30/18 i think...

For circuit, I'd run a little narrower tire, but drag racing, it would just be baller to mob 315's!

Do they clear big brakes, and what size are they? Any other pics from the side? And where do you get them?

Any updates on the set up. I am getting a completly built block (heads and bottom end, but no sleeves) and was thinking about either doing a gt30r twin scroll or a gt35. I am looking for about 450 whp on pump gas and 550+ whp on race. I will be using meth with both. You think those numbers are possible with a GT35R twin scroll?

The GT35R TS definitely! I could get close to that if not reach it with my GT3071R TS, but it would be maxing out the turbo, lol. My main problem, is that I am running stock cams, stock intake mani, and a basic tune (no dyno time). However, this coming spring, I'll be posting up a dyno chart with a fully built motor!

Yeah, the motor im getting is fully built. Machine work, .20 over bore, polished crank, balanced, resurfaced, port and polished, 16 valve job, cp 86.5 pistons, eagle rods, arp rod studs, clevite bearings, arp head studs, super tech dual valve springs, HKS 272 cams, hks cam sprockets, hks rocker arm stopers, greddy intak manifold. It can handel a decent amount of power. And plus, a GT35R is just not a practical street turbo. What injectors are you using. I was thinking 850cc, but I didnt know if those would be big enough.

The GT35R is fine on the street, my buddy has one on his daily integra, lol. He's running it at 20 psi and dyno'd at 480whp. His trap speed is crazy too, ha ha. 127 mph! He only runs an 11.8 though, lol. I'm going with the tomei 260 duration cams for the solid lifters. The 272's are just too big in my opinion (for a street car). When you get it all together, post up a build thread!

Will do, but it will take a while. I want to do the 300zx tranny first and then some other small supporting mods. And I am out of cash. By then I will have a turbo picked out. I havent really seen any twin scroll GT35Rs though. YOu know where I can get one.

Phone: 888-577-0144 they're friendly from what I hear.

I dont have a side view but this is close.

Just wandering if u have your dipstick tube mounted to anything or if its just bent out of the way?? I will probably be ordering this same kit just not sure if i wanna go gt3071 or gt3076 yet, my car will be mostly drag raced, and im hoping for 500rwhp, my motor is fully built and im shooting for 10's in the 1/4. Just wandering how u are liking this set-up, also how much work would it make to clock the turbo downwards how bad does it hit the powersteering resivoir??

I would go with the 76 if you like drag racing more than other styles. I love drag racing, but the car is being built with the ultimate goal of road racing, so I went with something that would get me close to 500whp, but have awesome response. I'd go with a GT35 though if I were you. It has a lot more potential for drag racing!

As for the mounting, if you clock it downward, you'll have to run an immediate 90 degree coupler to clear the stuff below the turbo. I didn't want to do this, so I ran a 45 coupler and pointed it to the side. All you have to do is move the PS reservoir down a hole on the strut tower, and you're golden. I have no issues at all with it.

Oh, and no mounting as of now for the dipstick tube, ha ha
