I got me a stock 240sx with 115,000 miles on it and it runs strong. All i have is highflow cat with 2.25 tubing and a low restrictive muffler, and a limited slip from a silvia in japan. I got me 2 grand and want to put in a turbo. Do i have enough money? Does anybody know of anyone other than realnissan that can get me everything included for less than 2 grand? let me know and if you have done it let me know what youve done.

You could probably get a non-intercooled set up running low boost. Check the boards, ebay and partstrader.

Theres a $2000 intercooled setup good for low boost. did i miss anything?

oh yeah, fuel pump and fmu, which you can find used for cheap

or, just add pump, injectors and AFC and run that

Pump, injectors, and AFC will run another $600 or so... quite far from the $2k limit.-Jeff

$500 for a used turbo?

Why not go the full 600 or 700 for a new one?

If you're going used you can find one a lot cheaper than that.

You don't need a boost or A/F gauge. It doesn;t actually do anything for the functionality of the kit. There's some money saved. Not that it wouldn't be a good investment.

How about this:

$450 manifold$250 T04b$200 wastegate$ 50 BOV$150 Starion intercooler$200 360cc injectors$130 Walbro or Supra fuel pump$100 Intercooler piping$ 50 downpipe$350 AFC$100 oil lines$100 couplers, clamps, spark plugs, etc--------------------------------------------$2130 and ready for action

Gauges are not required but certainly reccomended, a $150 option for EGT and Boost.

That's pretty much what I'm working on right now to get it up and running, then I'll be getting some dyno time to tune my car to perfection, then a stage 2 or 3 ACT clutch. With that setup I expect about 220-240 rwhp @7psi, and I should have no problems boosting up to 10-12 if I so desired.
