I have a small collection of two dollar bills going. I know it's not worth much but it's fun to me so I do it. Anyways, I stopped by the bank to pay some bills. Before I left I asked the teller if I could swap $4 in my pocket for a couple of two's. She hands me one from 1995, no big deal right. Well the other bill she handed me was dated 1928G! It has red print and says 'UNITED STATES NOTE' at the top. Also indicates that it 'will pay the bearer on demand two dollars'. I showed everyone at work.

Looks just like this guy...

It's very cool. A lot of old people considered them to be bad luck and many of them were burned. Hang on to it, it'll be worth something to someone someday. ;)

I have a grip of $2 bills. I always liked them. At the end of the fiscal year we do a cash and property inventory and just to be a smartass I converted my change fund to $2 bills because the count form didn't have a row for that denomination and I enjoyed watching the verifier have to pen change the form.

I dont know whats more unnerving- that you spent those bills, or that you remember just how awful that particular sandwich was.

At the recycling center near my house, the cashier mostly pays you with two dollar bills, one dollar coins, "State collection" quarters, fifty cents coins, brand new 20 dollar bills, etc... I get rid off them as soon as possible because I get confused at the time of paying somewhere. Other bills I change immediately are 50 and 100 dollar bills, I prefer to have one, five, ten and twenty dollar bills only in my wallet...and about collecting bills and coins, yes, that is a nice hobby but I do prefer to spend them now...

^ Your doing it wrong, and, 50 cent coins??

Jesda you should have known that BK would be a let down. A catching a dogs s**t before it hit the ground with the bottom bun would have been 10x better.

Some people don't know these things are around. My buddy tried to buy lunch and handed the kid a deuce and a five. The Kid looked at the $2 bill and said "we need REAL money, sir." My boy is a smartass like me and got into a spirited discussion about the legality of the tender. The kid threatened to cal mall security which of course my friend encouraged him to do.

Security shows up, some 50 year old guy with a badge and a whistle and asks what the problem is. The pizza-faced clerk hands him the bill and said "this guy is trying to pass fake money." The guard looks at the $2 bill and then up at my friend who is smiling waiting for the punchline. Everyone but the clerk starts to laugh. The kid had a bad day.

I guess that this link should be read as general knowledge

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Half_dolla ... ates_coin)

(Amazing, even when I type over the missing "r" the link appears saying "dolla" instead of "dollar", something is going on with the Nico system, because I'm doing a copy and paste of the link.)

Lets try a different link

You may have your browser set to "keepin it real." "dollar" becomes "dolla" "I agree" becomes "word," And "certainly" becomes "foshizzle."

I still hit up the bank for rolls of half dollars, but there are several other dudes doing it too. I think we picked them all clean.

The strippers by you must have a smaller "coin-slot" than the ones by me -- these generally prefer Kennedy halves.
