Greetings community:
New to site. Knock sensor and code 110. After I started the car, it was like it did not want to stay running. Drove aprox 5 miles, the Service Engine soon light (which was already lite) started blinking rapidly for about 10 seconds and then went back to staying lite. I parked the car at that point. What do you guys/girls think? HELP PLS. Would replacing that knock sensor possible fix this or could this be something worse :((((

If you have codes, I would definitely do what it takes to fix them before you try any other troubleshooting. Code 110 is your Air Intake temp sensor

could the knock sensor and the combination of the air intake temp sensor cause the vehicle to feel like it isnt getting any gas and not want to move? Is this an expensive fix?

Knock sensor http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_does_a_knock_sensor_do

IAT - http://www.obd-codes.com/p0110

I don't now if it is directly correlated to your issue or not, that's up to the mechanic. But they are cheap fixes, so worth trying before you go deeper with a mechanic. Knock sensor is around 50 and iat 30

Knock sensor probably doesnt need replacing
It generally senses your engine has another problem usually (like the temp sensor)
Don't attack the problem here first
I would stay with Nissan parts myself

first of all thank you for the replys. I had the codes read again, it is throwing code: 306 which i believe is the #6 coil/spark plug, in addition to the first two codes of 325 and 110. Called the local auto parts and they suggested I ask you guys/gals re: the 98 maxima not having a "iat" sensor, what do you do when this code is thrown. With all three of these codes: knock sensor, iat sensor and the #6 coil/spark plug, is it really necessary to replace all three. The bottom line, is it is misfiring and sounds like it is running out of gas!
