hey folks, just got word from my local shop that they have updated remote for the RS-1000 alarm.. this will fix any of the issues folks have been having regarding the RS-1000 color OLED communicating with the alarm system.... its a completely free remote replacement... so go back to your installer and get it done, even if you haven't had any problems, you may in the future, so just get this done now!!!

If the buttons on your remote light up red, then you have the older version, all of the newly updated remoted hav BLUE buttons that light up!!

Thanks for the heads up Rob!

I'll hit up the shop over the weekend and get this done, although I haven't had any problems with it yet.

I'm itching to see your engine bay monitor, BTW... Haven't seen your ride for a while!

yeah, this is why i suggested folks NOT buy their alarms off ebay and take them somewhere to get them installed... you would have to contact your square trade warranty and see if they will honor this, and during this time, you will be without a two way remote... but this is a known issue at Autopage, so they should be cool about it.. matter of fact, you may be able to contact autopage directly, but I don't know about that

got my remote exchanged yesterday at my dealer... new remote has a ble remote start button instead of a red one, and the bacl lights are blue instead of red...

remote response is faster than the previous version, no more communication issues.... hopefully, you all will NOT have communication issues
