Off the line I ripped him apart. My 186+ torque vs his noexisting was no match. Top end power only was good when we hit 75-80. By then I was almost redline into 4th and that was more than enough for a public street so i began letting off. But then he caem flying by. I'll get a video up i'm sure we'll do it again soon. Both cars are stick so it might be difficult to video esp since a passenger will have an effect with weight. We'll figure it out though.08altima35 wrote:si's are quick off the line and glad to hear you beat em thru 70. makes some vids for our race happy asses next time please.
Have you driven an SI? Their off the line speed is horrible. My 2.5 is quicker off the line. The SI starts to kick *** when it reaches 7000rpm (VTEC). From that point on, if you can keep the revs up, you're driving a pretty deadly machine around the track.08altima35 wrote:si's are quick off the line and glad to hear you beat em thru 70. makes some vids for our race happy asses next time please.
Driver skills is true. Those new si are quick, they keep up with the new mustang gts. Its the high revs. I admit was amazed at my 2.5 when I got it. Pretty quick for CVT.Fenvy wrote:I admit I am a honda fan but the 06+ up look is not so appealing. Altima on the other hand is looking much better than its 3rd gen brother.
civic si should be able to out perform your car but it is probably the driver and not the car.
