So i had the injen and axle back from stillen installed on my car.. No rattling.. then i had custom piping done at 2 1/2 inches from my cat to the split pipe... Now when i get on the gas at about 3000 RPM when the injen kicks in i can hear this REALLY LOUD CLICKING/RATTLING.. ANNOYING>>> Anyone know what that is?

New exhaust usually causes more vibration in the cabin. Seeing how our nissan interiors are complete garbage, rattling is expected. Nothing much you can do but get used to it..unless you want to shoot foam into every crevice of the car.

I haven't come across any rattling or noises since my cat-back install... (I did have the center console come lose though, probably unrelated ) good luck

Try reading this.

I think with a freer flowing exhaust you are now probably able to hear the imperfections of our engine design.

Mainly, the exploding pre-cats. Does the sound you hear come off as a mis-firing sound?

If thats the case. Check your heat shields. Those are notorious for coming loose and rattling.

I'm still trying to research this issue myself. It seems the pre-cat is located in the exhaust manifold and the sound you may be hearing is probably resonated and amplified by the freer flowing custom exhaust you did. But then again, this was for the previous version of the engine and I am not sure how the setup is for us.

You may be the first to discover a major re-call on our Coupes. Who knows? Anyway, the link is below for any further information. I'm at work, so I can't be on the forums as much as I would like to be. Let us know how it turns out because I thought this issue was resolved for the newer QR25DE's. you might actually have disproved that theory.

Its deep and quite loud tbh.. The injen intake makes it louder over 3000 Rpm

The engine was revised quite a bit so that information may not work with gen 4 cars. And not to mention, using wikipedia as a source is the same as find a schlub on the street and taking what he said and putting it onto a website. Theres a reason that college professors do not allow wikipedia as a source. The amount of false information on that website is greater then chinas population. Although i still love wikipedia.
