Ok guys so here's the deal im going to be gettin g custom intake manifold done for my 2.5s since the one we all have is plastic. price range your looking at would be about 350$ shipped. Bringing my car in for testing next week. You should expect 10-20whp for a normally aspirated car. Let me know if you are interested and when you can buy.

Ok so i messed the poll up... just let me know

I'd be interested to purchase it now but I am worried how the stock computer would handle the additional air flow. I changed the intake manifold on my 97 integra and I could never hook the sensor up on the manifold or else the car would go skitzo. (this was back in 2000)

Well of course i would make sure all the tests went the right way before sending out any parts

On a manual with a dynojet 20whp isnt crazy. how u think they get 14whp off an intake? yea anyways. This company out here in arizona has a special dyno thats supposed to be able to dyno everything. Will be up by mid summer. they even been able to dyno the crazy variable transmission in the new audi's. So im hoping for the best. ill keep ya guys updated.

Impressive...on my old 2000 cougar manual, when you used the already larger SVT lower intake manifold, and had the upper intake PnP, you would only gain about 3 - 5 whp.

They get 14whp from an intake by lowing the air temp in the dyno room to about 45 degrees, forcing air directly into the intake, and using overly high read out dynos. Believe me, the a/c is slower with the Injen than the stock air intake system. I just tested out a month ago, my 0-60 time was 5.9 stock vs 6.2 with the Injen. I'm really interested to see how they are gonna dyno the CVT. Unless they have a dyno that measures kenetic energy or something crazy like that. You aren't going to get proper readouts from 95% of dynos due to the fact that you cant create anywhere close to a 1:1 ratio.

20 hp gain on a car that's pushing about 120 hp to the ground by just a new intake manifold? either your nutz or someone's feeding you something that smells like bullpoop.

That's true too. That's a 17% gain with just a manifold. With forced induction I could see that gain, but naturally aspirated, don't get your hopes up.

It would give you more gains in torque than HP in my opinion! I felt some great gains in my integra with a skunk 2 manifold and I was smoking any v8's I came across. Then again, I had pulleys, cai, headers, exhaust, fuel controller, and timing advance!!

I say go for it and keep us posted. 20whp or not, it's still a mod for us 2.5ers that could always be put toward an even bigger mod

possibly...depends on hood, firewall, and fender clearances for the various parts though...it's worth looking into.
