Tac show's 0 RPM, car has trouble starting (possibly unrelated, horrible gas here, possibly related due to fuel management tie-in?); engine sounds fine while running.Car accelerates through it fine, needle will "jump up" once you hit 4k or so on a rough acceleration. Car dies @ idle (again possible fuel tie in), have to feed fuel constant @ a stop to keep from dieing. Needle will occasionally deflect to actual rpm in normal driving state, but rather infrequently.

After car has been on 3-5 minutes problem clears. If car is off 15-20 mins will still have problems @ start up.

Occasionally car will stutter while driving (jerk, like if you are in the wrong gear taking off and not enough gas). On one such occasion (it's only happened 2-3 times, though I tend not to drive off till tac corrects now) I cycled through 4th to 1st to no affect. Initially thought it was the gas (b4 the tac was getting "stuck") and filter, so I ran an additive through it to avoid purchasing a new fuel pump.

Thoughts? where's the transducer/sensor hooked up (don't have much time to research right now, maybe this weekend)? ECU issue?

Anyone have any experience with this?

haven't had time to update this.. but yeah qr25

sys throwing crankshaft pos sensor codes (same basic failures as what the recall was originally for).

Anyway bought the sensor; cannot find the thing in the car. The diagram I have shows it to be just forward and to the left of the camshaft position sensor. So far no luck; have had a few people dig around looking, still not seeing it.

wtf over

going to dig through the forums some more.. but any input would be appreciated

sensor changed, is actually positioned (as the altima info in some of the forums informed me) on the drivers side near the firewall (directly below the throttle body, behind a rear motor mount)..

was a pita; ended up pulling the throttle body to get it out (hesitated as I didn't have a fresh seal on hand).. noticed there was some standing oil in intake.. cannot recall if thats normal. if not should i look at something?

anyway, car seems to be aight for now; will see over next couple of days (actual fault is mildly intermittent)
