I travel over a mountain pass between Cheyenne and Laramie, WY on a regular basis to see my lady. My 4cyl Accord '89 struggles on the steep parts to the point that I have to down shift my auto transmission, doing 65 mph if I'm lucky. My '90 legend V6 can fly up that mountain @ 75-80 mph like nobody's bizznazz!! Will I be struggling up that hill every weekend if I get the 2.5?

Also: 2.5 owners, does your car suffer severe power drain when running the air conditioner?

I don't like the city mpg of my legend; I think that is the main reason I will probably go with the 2.5

Hear about Vick? Lets hope they put HIM on a r*pe stand.

Obviously I couldn't tell you for certain since i've never driven my 2.5 coupe on a similar terrain (nor have I ever driving in a car going up a hill like that), but I can tell you this....I get my altima after driving a V8 Cadillac Seville for a few years and the power I get from that 2.5 L engine blows my mind every time i step on the gas. And living in Florida durring the summer time my a/c is constantly on full blast and there is no noticable power drain at all. Go test drive one...i'm sure all of your questions will be answered after that.

The only A/C for sale in my city is a V6. I might go test drive it later this week. I only want to so that i may get a feel for the car's interior and overall 'feel'. I think it would be difficult to test drive such a car @275hp only to purchase a similar one with 175hp.

You can also check to see if there are any 2.5 sedans available to test drive. The engine and transmission are the same and the interior is very similar.

I test drove a 2.5 6-speed sedan because I could not find any 6-speed coupes in my area.

2.5 will get you up some steep hills fine. I guess it really depends on how much power your looking for on the hillies. Honestly my CVT 2.5 is all id ever need and I live in PA which is pretty hilly.
