1984 720 2.4 4wd runs about about a week with new fuel pump then it wont start. go get a replacement fuel pump put it on runs about a week quits again. I am on the 3rd pump now whats up???

start by pulling your fuel tank and checking it for any blockage - rust, etc. if there's foreign objects in the tank there you go - it's clogging the feed line which is causing your fuel pump to work double time, and burn out.
