Hey there guys, I was just on http://www.raretrick.com, and I was wondering if anybody has heard or even tried out this 2.2 Liter Stroker kit for the SR20DET, I'm contemplating buying either that kit or a bigger turbo, and I just wanted to know if anybody's heard about it or has one.

Whats your budget? I would buy a bigger turbo. Probably cheaper than the 8500 bucks they want for the stroker kit. Then if you're really not happy with the performance of a larger turbo, get the stroker kit. Just my 2cents

there are less expensive stroker kits then the apexi one. jun, toda, tomei all make kits under 5k. i would definatly get a stroker kit after a turbo upgrade.

That is insanely expensive IMO. Dont think the displacement is worth that much. Cram as much power in yours now until you have to get the stroker.

Stroker kits are nice, and more displacement is always a good thing. You can realize the same performance increases for slightly less with a larger turbo, appropriate fueling, and proper engine management. If the ~350-400hp that you can make on 2 liters isn't good enough for you, then look at getting a stroker kit.

If you're like most people, it would be overkill. But sometimes, if you've got too much cash... overkill is good. :ylsuper

I wouldnt get the Apexi one EVER. HOLY **** thats alot of money. But if you have extra money laying around then by all means do it, I think after the turbo upgrade thou... get ur as a nice dual ball bearing turbo and manifold and aaaaallllllll that shiot. Then if you say, "Damn im slow" get the stroker kit

I like sr's i just think its a waste of time and money to stroke it and bring its displacement up when the ka has more displacement and contrary to what you said... can take boost! just making an observation! W3RD UP!
