ive been working on my 240 for a while now and finally manged to get it started after replacing the fuel pump with a walbro 255 and a new fuel filter. i re did the timing, and checked all the connections but my sr wont rev past 2,000 rpms i have checked all the spark plugs and they all have spark. ive checked the vacuum lines and there on tight and i think there in the correct place. does any one have any ideas of what could be wrong or a picture of there vacuum lines thanks

the only thing i can think of is the fuel is not getting to the engine somehow. I would check the filter again cause even though its new you might have picked something up out of the tank and cloged it. also, kinked lines or fuel pressure regulator bad or set wrong letting too much fuel recirculate back to the tank causing enough fuel pressure for idle- 2000 but not enough fuel for anything above that. hope this helps. oh, and check the tps setting/adjustment.

A bad MAF will cause the engine to run in "fail safe" which will limit the RPM; check the MAF connections for tightness and for any oxidation on the pins.

I had the same issue, turned out to be one of my couplers on my intercooler broke.
